Lord who clothes Your servants with beauty and honor,
You choose Aaron and his sons to serve as priests,
and You design garments for glory
not vanity,
but visible reminders
that those who approach You
must be set apart.

The ephod is woven of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn,
joined at the shoulders,
bearing two onyx stones engraved
with the names of the tribes of Israel.
The high priest carries the people on his shoulders
as he serves before You.

The breastpiece holds twelve precious stones,
each engraved with a tribe’s name,
set over the priest’s heart,
so that he carries their memory in the place of love.
You place the Urim and Thummim inside
tools for discerning Your will.

The robe is blue,
its hem decorated with alternating pomegranates and bells.
The bells ring as the priest moves,
announcing his service in the holy place.
On his forehead rests a plate of pure gold,
engraved with “Holy to the LORD,”
a constant declaration that he belongs to You.

Lord, teach me that holiness is not only separation from sin,
but devotion to You.
Clothe me with compassion, kindness, humility, and truth.
Let me bear others on my shoulders in prayer,
carry them over my heart in love,
and serve with a sound that honors Your presence.

And thank You that in Christ,
we are now a royal priesthood
not clothed in fabric and gold,
but in His righteousness.
May my life be a living garment
that declares to the world
“Holy to the LORD.”

In the name of Jesus,
our Great High Priest
and the One who clothes us in salvation,
Amen.
