O Yahweh Nissi,
Lord, my Banner
You are the One I lift my eyes to when I feel surrounded.
You are the flag that flies above my weary soul,
the covering over me when the battle rages.
When I have no strength left, You still stand.
When I cannot lift my hands, You raise them with mercy.

“And Moses built an altar and called the name of it,
The Lord is my banner” (Exodus 17:15).
Not my strength, not my strategy
You are the banner I rally to.
You are the name I cry in the fight.
You are the victory I cling to when defeat presses close.

Lord, I confess
I am tired of the fight.
Tired of holding it together.
Tired of pretending I’m stronger than I am.
I’m battling fear, doubt, anger, loneliness
and the enemy whispers that I’m losing.

But Your Word says
“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent” (Exodus 14:14).
So I come not with power,
but with surrender.
Not with polished faith,
but with trembling trust.

Raise Your banner over me, Lord.
Cover me in Your name Yahweh Nissi.
Wave Your love like a flag over my brokenness.

“His banner over me was love” (Song of Solomon 2:4).
Not shame.
Not condemnation.
But love.

You went before me at the Red Sea.
You stood behind me in the wilderness.
You walked beside me in the valley.
You are the Banner above me on every battlefield
seen and unseen.

“When the enemy comes in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19, NKJV).
So rise up, O Lord.
Lift up Your standard.
Let every force that wars against my peace
fall in the presence of Your name.

I wave no flag of surrender to this world.
I raise only one banner.
Jesus Christ, crucified and risen.
He is my victory.
He is the name over every name.
“Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

So here I stand
battered, but not broken.
Wounded, but not destroyed.
Because Yahweh Nissi, the Lord my Banner,
has not forsaken me.

Let every breath I take
be a cry of defiance to the darkness.
My God fights for me.
My banner is the cross.
My song is grace.
My victory is certain.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
