Lord God,
In the beginning, You spoke
and light shattered the silence.
Order rose from chaos,
and life took its first breath at Your word.

Speak again, Lord, into my darkness.
Into the empty places, the formless voids,
the hidden corners of fear and confusion.
Say, “Let there be light,” and I will hope again.

I confess
I’ve tried to create on my own,
to shape my days without Your breath.
But nothing good forms apart from You.
Without You, my work is just dust,
my striving just noise.

Hover over me, Holy Spirit,
as You hovered over the deep.
Move in me, stir me, reshape me.
Where I feel chaos, bring peace.
Where I feel barren, bring beauty.

You separated day from night,
land from sea, sky from earth.
Do the same in me
divide what is holy from what is harmful,
what brings life from what brings death.

Plant in me the seed of Your purpose.
Shape my desires to reflect Your design.
Fill me with the breath of life again
not just to exist, but to live in Your image,
to bear Your likeness in the world.

Let there be light in my thoughts.
Let there be life in my words.
Let there be fruitfulness in my hands.

And when I see all You are doing,
help me to call it good.
Not because everything feels easy,
but because You are working,
and You do not abandon what You begin.

You are the Creator still.
Even now, You are forming something new in me.
So I rest in the rhythm of Your creation
evening and morning,
work and worship,
brokenness and blessing.

Form me, O God, into a reflection of Your glory.
Make me new by Your word.
Make me whole by Your Spirit.

In the name of Jesus,
the Word who was with You in the beginning,
and through whom all things were made
Amen.
