Lord God,
You are the One who enlarges our borders,
the Giver of more than we imagined,
the God who invites us to step into wider ground.
When the children of Joseph came to Joshua,
they complained that their portion was too small.
They saw themselves as strong,
but their vision was small.
They wanted blessing without battle,
expansion without effort.
Yet You spoke through Joshua,
calling them to courage
“If you are a great people, go up to the forest and clear it for yourselves.”
You are the God who expands our boundaries through faith.
You do not increase our inheritance by complaint,
but by courage.
You give more ground to those willing to labor for it,
to trust You beyond comfort.
You do not shrink Your promises;
You stretch our faith to fit them.
You show us that the measure of blessing
is not how much we have,
but how much we trust You to conquer.
I confess, Lord,
that I have grumbled like Joseph’s sons.
I have looked at what You’ve given
and called it “not enough.”
I’ve measured my portion by comparison,
not by calling.
Forgive me for forgetting
that the limits I feel are often invitations,
that what looks like lack
is often land waiting to be cleared.
Teach me to stop complaining about boundaries
and start believing for breakthrough.
You are the God who calls Your people to rise and work.
You tell us to go into the forest
to swing the axe of faith,
to carve space for Your glory.
You turn obstacles into opportunities,
briars into blessing.
You remind me that strength is proven in stewardship,
and that increase always follows initiative.
So, Lord,
expand my boundaries by expanding my faith.
Stretch my vision until it matches Your promises.
Make me brave to go into the wooded places
the hard, overgrown corners of life
and claim what You’ve already given.
Let me see potential where others see difficulty.
Let me call “mine” what You’ve called “possible.”
You are the God who rewards faithful effort.
You do not mock those who step out in faith.
You meet them in the clearing.
You bless those who build,
who labor in obedience,
who trust that more land lies beyond the line of fear.
You remind me that Your promise grows as I go.
So I will rise, Lord,
not to demand more,
but to discover more.
Not to envy another’s inheritance,
but to expand mine through faith and faithfulness.
Let my hands be diligent,
my heart expectant,
and my courage unshaken.
For You are the God who enlarges the tent of the faithful.
You have more land to give,
more grace to grant,
more glory to reveal.
So make me a people of the “more.”
Not greedy for gain,
but hungry for Your purposes.
For every field cleared in faith
becomes a place where Your name is praised.
In the name of Jesus,
the Greater Joshua,
who prepares eternal dwelling places for His people,
Amen.
