God of the pilgrimage,
You told Moses to record every stage,
every campsite,
every place where the cloud stopped.
From Rameses in Egypt
to the plains of Moab by the Jordan,
You marked their steps.
Each name, each stop,
a testimony that You were with them.

Lord, how kind You are to record the journey.
Not just the victories,
but the wilderness too.
Not just the sweet springs,
but the deserts of thirst.
You remind me that every step matters,
even the hard ones,
even the wandering ones.
For You are the God who walks with me
from beginning to end.

Israel’s path was long,
filled with rebellion and mercy,
judgment and grace.
They passed through seas and sands,
they buried their dead,
they fought their foes,
they learned Your holiness.
And through it all,
You never left them.
So too, Lord, let me trust
that You are faithful in my stages.
When the road feels endless,
when progress seems slow,
when I cannot see the promise yet,
teach me to believe
that You are writing my story,
camp by camp,
day by day.

You told them to drive out the nations,
to tear down idols,
to claim the inheritance You had given.
Half-measures would bring trouble,
compromise would become thorns.
Lord, drive out what does not belong in me.
Tear down the idols I leave standing.
Clear the ground of my heart
that You may dwell without rival.
Let me not carry Egypt’s chains
into the land of freedom.
Let me not plant idols
in the soil of Your promise.

Father, Numbers 33 is a map of grace
from slavery to freedom,
from Egypt to Canaan,
from despair to hope.
So let my life be such a map.
Let each season tell of Your patience,
each step testify of Your mercy,
each stage point to Your faithfulness.
And when I look back,
may I see not only my failures,
but the footprints of the God
who carried me through.

So here I am, Lord,
between Egypt and home,
between promise spoken and promise seen.
Mark my steps.
Guide my journey.
And let my life be a record of this truth:
The Lord was with me every stage,
and He will bring me safely in.

In the name of Jesus,
my Guide and my Rest,
Amen.
