O Sovereign Lord, Almighty and eternal, we come before You in awe and wonder. You reign in majesty, and no power of earth or hell can prevail against You. Though sinners conspire and nations rage, You have set Your Anointed upon Zion’s holy hill. Your decree is sure, and Your purposes stand unshaken from age to age.
“Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed.” (Psalm 2:1-2, ESV)
Lord Jesus, You are the King who was despised and rejected, yet You have triumphed over the grave. You rose in victory, ascended in glory, and now You reign with power to save. By Your resurrection, You have shattered the schemes of the wicked, and by Your love, You draw the nations to Yourself.
“The Lord said to me, ‘You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.’” (Psalm 2:7-8, ESV)
O Lord, let our hearts be filled with holy fear and reverence. May we serve You with joyful obedience and trembling awe. You are worthy of all worship, and we bow before Your throne. Teach us to walk humbly in Your ways, to declare Your power, and to honor Your Son with our whole hearts.
“Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” (Psalm 2:11-12, ESV)
We kiss the Son, we surrender to Your will, and we proclaim Your kingdom. Keep us faithful, Lord, as we lift high the name of Jesus—the victorious King, the Redeemer of our souls, the Rock of our salvation.
In His mighty and matchless name we pray, Amen.
