Lord God,
You are the God who speaks.
You do not leave Your people in silence.
You gave priests to serve,
Levites to minister,
and prophets to declare Your Word.
From generation to generation,
You raised voices that called Israel back to faith,
back to covenant,
back to You.

You are not a distant deity whispering through riddles
You are the living God
who makes His will known,
whose Word is a lamp to the feet
and a fire in the bones.
Your speech is life,
and Your silence, mercy withheld.

I confess, Lord,
that I do not always listen when You speak.
I am drawn to the noise of lesser voices
to those who promise comfort without repentance,
and direction without surrender.
Forgive me for seeking guidance from what flatters my will,
and for calling wisdom what merely echoes my desires.
Teach me again to recognize Your voice
not by volume,
but by truth;
not by novelty,
but by holiness.

You warned Your people
not to imitate the nations that practiced divination,
sorcery, or necromancy.
For Your people are not led by shadows
they are guided by revelation.
O Lord, keep me from counterfeit light.
Guard my heart from fascination with what You have forbidden.
Let my hunger for mystery never lead me away from the Master.
You are enough, Lord.
Your Word is enough.

You promised, “I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers.
I will put My words in His mouth,
and He shall speak all that I command.”
And in the fullness of time, You did
in Jesus Christ,
the Prophet greater than Moses,
the Word made flesh,
the final revelation of Your heart.
No longer must I climb Sinai to hear You
You have come down to speak face to face.

So let me listen, Lord,
with holy trembling and holy trust.
When He speaks, may I obey.
When He commands, may I follow.
When He warns, may I repent.
Let no prophet, teacher, or voice ever rise higher in my heart
than the voice of Your Son.
For to ignore Him is death,
but to hear Him is life everlasting.

You said that the true prophet speaks only what You command,
and that false prophets will perish by their own words.
So give me discernment, Lord
to test every spirit,
to weigh every word,
to measure every message by the standard of Scripture.
Let humility keep me from deception,
and devotion keep me near the truth.

You are the God who raises up a Prophet
not merely to speak,
but to save.
In Jesus, You have revealed the fullness of Your mercy,
the depth of Your holiness,
and the certainty of Your promises.
He is the voice that silences confusion,
the light that exposes darkness,
the truth that makes free.

So speak, Lord,
for Your servant is listening.
Let Your Word dwell richly within me,
correcting, comforting, commanding.
Let obedience be my worship,
and listening my love.

In the name of Jesus,
the Prophet greater than Moses,
the Word who became flesh and spoke grace to the world,
Amen.
