God of order and promise,
You began this story with five daughters
who stood before Moses with courage,
asking for their father’s inheritance.
And here, at the close of the book,
You secured their portion.
You gave them boundaries of marriage and tribe,
so that what You promised
would never be lost,
never be diluted,
never be stolen away.

Lord, how faithful You are.
From beginning to end,
You remember Your people.
You finish what You start.
Your promises do not unravel,
and Your Word never fades.
Teach me to trust You in this
that the inheritance You have given in Christ
is secure,
untouchable,
undefiled,
kept for me until the last day.

The daughters obeyed Your command,
marrying within their tribe,
honoring both promise and order.
O God, give me such a heart.
Help me not to twist Your blessings
to suit my own desires.
Guard me from bending Your Word
to serve my comfort.
Make me willing to live within Your wisdom,
to trust that Your boundaries protect,
not restrain.
What You give is enough.
What You ordain is good.

Father, this chapter ends the wilderness journey.
From Sinai’s fire
to Jordan’s edge,
You have carried Your people.
Through rebellion and mercy,
through discipline and grace,
You have led them to the border of promise.
So too, Lord, I stand in the “in between”
redeemed but not yet home,
forgiven yet still waiting,
saved yet still longing.
Give me faith to finish well.
Keep me from turning back to Egypt,
from settling east of Jordan,
from shrinking before giants.
Carry me all the way
into the inheritance of Christ.

So today I rest in this truth
that You are faithful from first to last,
that no promise fails,
that no word is wasted,
that no inheritance is lost.
My life is held in Your hand,
my portion secured by Your will,
my future sealed in Your Son.

In the name of Jesus,
the Author and Finisher of faith,
the Keeper of my inheritance,
Amen.
