Lord God,
You are the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love
to those who love You and obey Your commands.
You bless obedience not as a transaction,
but as a testimony of Your goodness.
You warn of rebellion not from cruelty,
but from compassion
because You know that sin destroys
what You delight to bless.

You are the God who speaks in blessings and warnings alike,
whose Word is not hollow,
but holy.
You promise life for those who walk in Your ways
Blessed in the city and blessed in the field,
blessed in the fruit of the womb and of the ground,
blessed in going out and in coming in.
You delight to make Your people fruitful,
to surround them with Your favor,
to show the nations what it means
to live under the reign of the Lord.

I confess, Lord,
that I love Your blessings
more than I love obedience.
I long for the fruit
without tending the root.
I want Your protection
without yielding to Your rule.
Forgive me, O Lord,
for treating Your covenant as contract,
for desiring Your hand more than Your heart.
Remind me that true blessing is not abundance,
but Your abiding presence.

You warned Israel
that disobedience would bring curse
that rebellion would turn rain into dust,
harvest into hunger,
peace into fear.
You did not speak to harm,
but to call them back to life.
Even Your curses were mercy in disguise,
holy discipline meant to awaken repentance.
So when my heart strays, Lord,
and I feel the weight of drought within,
let me not resent Your correction.
Let it drive me back to You.
Let my sorrow become surrender.

You said the blessings would “overtake” those who obey,
and the curses would “overtake” those who rebel.
Both reveal that none can outrun Your covenant
for You are near to the obedient in mercy,
and near to the rebellious in discipline.
You do not abandon Your people;
You pursue them in both kindness and correction.
Thank You, Lord,
that even when I am chastened,
it is proof that I am still Yours.

You are the Lord who exalts the humble
and humbles the proud.
You raise up those who fear You,
and bring low those who forget You.
Your justice is not swift cruelty,
but slow mercy
giving time for repentance,
inviting hearts to return.
So keep me low before You, Lord.
Let humility be my shelter,
obedience my refuge,
and faithfulness my crown.

You are the God who blesses obedience
and warns of rebellion.
But in Christ,
the blessing and curse met upon the cross.
He bore the curse I earned
so that I might receive the blessing He deserved.
The heavens that turned to bronze over Israel
were opened above the Son of God
and through His suffering,
mercy now rains down on all who believe.

So let my obedience flow not from fear,
but from gratitude.
Let my heart delight to do Your will,
for grace has turned command into communion.
Let my life proclaim that blessing still follows faithfulness
not as reward,
but as relationship with the Living God.

Bless me, Lord
not with wealth,
but with wisdom;
not with ease,
but with endurance;
not with things,
but with Yourself.
Let my home be rich in faith,
my heart full of thanksgiving,
and my obedience the fragrance of love.

You are the Lord of covenant faithfulness,
the God who blesses beyond measure
and warns out of mercy.
Keep me near, O God
that I may walk in Your ways,
heed Your voice,
and live beneath the blessings of Your presence.

In the name of Jesus,
who became the curse that I might receive the blessing,
Amen.
