O God of Gladness, Creator of Light,
You who walk upon the wings of the wind
and crown the day with gold, how marvelous is Your joy, how endless is Your song!
You dance in the fields where lilies bloom, You sing through the voice of every laughing child, You paint the heavens with brushstrokes of fire, and command the seas with the poetry of peace.
You are not hidden in shadows—You are the brilliance that breaks them. Not a flicker or a candle, but the Sun of Righteousness rising with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2).
“The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1). And so do we.
We proclaim You with cymbals and strings,
with feet that dance and hearts that rise.
We lift up our hands not in desperation
but in celebration of the One who fills the world with wonder.
“Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things!” (Psalm 98:1)
O Lord of light and laughter,
You are not silent or distant—You are near, and You are singing.
“He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will exult over you with loud singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
What God is this, who sings over His people?
We do not tremble in fear—
we tremble in awe.
We do not mourn what is broken—
we marvel at what is being made new.
“Behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come” (Song of Songs 2:11–12).
So we sing.
Not softly, but with the thunder of joy.
We sing with oceans and birds, with angels and stars.
We sing because we are alive in You.
Let praise burst like spring from every corner of creation.
Let the trees clap their hands, let the rivers lift up their voice,
let the very stones cry out if we grow silent (Luke 19:40).
But we will not be silent.
We were made for glory.
We were formed for joy.
You, O Lord, are the ever-blessing Fountain, the never-dimming Light,
the eternal Delight of those who seek Your face.
And so we bless You not just for what You’ve done, but for who You are.
Wonderful. Radiant. Forever.
We praise You with light in our eyes
and fire in our song.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!” (Psalm 103:1)
Let all that is within us shine like the Son,
for our God reigns in beauty
and His love is without end.
In the most majestic name above all names—Jesus the Christ, the Everlasting King!!
Amen.
