Lord who adorns Your servants with holiness,
the craftsmen make the priestly garments
exactly as You commanded Moses.
They weave the ephod in gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn,
with fine linen skillfully worked.
They mount the onyx stones on the shoulder pieces,
engraved with the names of the tribes of Israel,
so that the high priest bears the people before You continually.
They craft the breastpiece like the ephod,
a square folded double,
set with four rows of precious stones
sardius, topaz, emerald;
carbuncle, sapphire, diamond;
jacinth, agate, amethyst;
beryl, onyx, jasper
each engraved with a tribe’s name.
The breastpiece is bound to the ephod
so it will not come loose,
for love never lets go of those it carries.
They make the robe of pure blue,
with pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn
around its hem,
alternating with golden bells,
so the priest’s movements before You
will be heard in the holy place.
They prepare the coats, turbans, sashes, and undergarments
all of fine linen
and fashion the plate of pure gold for the forehead,
engraved with “Holy to the LORD.”
When the work is complete,
the whole tabernacle is brought to Moses.
He inspects it,
and sees that they have done everything
just as You commanded.
Then he blesses them.
Lord, teach me to serve You with precision and devotion,
to follow Your word in every detail,
and to see obedience not as burden
but as beauty.
Clothe me in Christ’s righteousness,
so that I may stand before You without fear,
bearing the names of others in prayer,
and walking with holiness inscribed on my life.
In the name of Jesus,
our Great High Priest,
who wears our names over His heart forever,
Amen.
