God of constancy,
You spoke of offerings again
daily lambs, morning and evening,
Sabbath sacrifices doubled,
new moons, Passover, weeks, trumpets,
a rhythm of worship woven through time.
Every sunrise, every season,
an altar was lit,
a fragrance rose,
a reminder that life with You
is not occasional,
but continual.
Lord, make my life an offering like this.
Let praise be my morning sacrifice,
thanksgiving my evening gift.
Let my days not drift unmarked,
but rise and set
with the rhythm of worship.
Teach me that devotion is not in bursts of zeal,
but in steady faithfulness,
in the ordinary altar
where I meet You again and again.
You required unblemished lambs,
the best without spot,
for You are holy.
O God, how can I bring such an offering?
For all I have is stained with sin,
all I am is marked with weakness.
Yet You have provided the perfect Lamb,
Christ without blemish,
once offered for all.
In Him, every sacrifice is fulfilled,
every festival finds its meaning.
So I come not with my perfection,
but with His.
I lay before You not my righteousness,
but His blood, His obedience, His cross.
Still, Lord, I long to give You myself.
Take my heart as a living sacrifice.
Take my work as incense.
Take my rest as worship.
Take my words as an offering.
Let every part of me be laid on the altar,
consumed in love,
transformed by Your fire.
Father, You gave Your people rhythms
days, weeks, months, years
lest they forget You.
So too, order my time.
Sanctify my calendar.
Let my busyness bow to Your presence.
Mark my life with holy days,
holy hours,
holy moments,
until all time is Yours.
So here I am, Lord,
a small life,
a fragile offering.
Yet in Christ,
You receive me with delight.
Let my worship rise daily,
a pleasing aroma to You.
And let my heart beat in rhythm
with the Lamb who was slain
and now lives forever.
In His name I pray,
Amen.
