Lord God,
You are the God of truth
unchanging, unwavering, eternal.
You have knit Your people together in love,
not in flattery or fleeting emotion,
but in truth that abides forever.
Thank You for the family of faith
for the elect, the beloved, the ones who walk in Your name.
Thank You for grace, mercy, and peace
that flow freely from the Father and the Son,
bound together in truth and love.
I rejoice, Lord,
when I see my brothers and sisters walking in the truth.
It gives life to my soul,
because I know this is what You commanded from the beginning
that we love one another.
But love is not vague,
not anything goes, not soft compromise.
You said love is walking according to Your commandments.
So Lord, teach me to walk
step by step, word by word
in obedience.
Help me guard what You’ve entrusted to me.
Your truth is not mine to rewrite.
You warned of deceivers,
of those who deny that Jesus came in the flesh
they are the very spirit of antichrist.
Lord, let me not be naive.
Let me not lose what has been worked for.
Let me hold fast and finish well,
to receive the full reward.
Keep me from drifting,
from going “beyond” Christ,
from chasing novelty instead of truth.
Let me abide
abide in the teaching of Jesus,
so that I may have You both Father and Son.
Give me wisdom and courage in my relationships.
Let me not give shelter or celebration
to those who reject Your truth.
Help me love them without joining them.
Let my discernment be as sharp as my compassion is deep.
God, I long for true fellowship
face to face, heart to heart, spirit to spirit.
You said our joy is made complete not just in writing,
but in communion, in presence, in shared truth.
So I wait for that day,
whether in this life or in the life to come,
when Your family is gathered, whole and radiant,
before Your throne.
Until then, I walk in truth.
I walk in love.
I watch myself.
And I remain in You.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
the Son of the Father,
Amen.
