1 Samuel 30 – The God Who Restores Strength to the Weary
Prayer
Lord God,
You are the God who restores strength
when everything has been taken.
David returned to ashes
home destroyed,
families gone,
hope seemingly erased.
Even his own men
turned against him in grief.
You are the God who strengthens
the broken leader.
David wept
until he had no strength left to weep.
And then
he turned to You.
Not for strategy first,
but for strength.
Lord, teach me where to run
when loss overwhelms me.
Not into bitterness.
Not into blame.
But into Your presence.
Strengthen me in You
when support disappears
and courage runs dry.
You restored what was stolen.
You redeemed what looked final.
You proved that loss
is not the end of the story.
You turn devastation
into testimony.
Restore my strength, O God,
when exhaustion threatens obedience.
Teach me to encourage myself in You
when no one else can.
Amen.
