Faithful God,
You are the One who calls
not always with a map,
but with a promise.

You said to Abram,
“Go to the land I will show you.”
Not a destination,
just direction.
Not a guarantee of comfort,
but a covenant of blessing.

Lord, You still call like that.
You interrupt comfort.
You unsettle what I’ve settled.
You ask me to leave behind what’s known
for what’s promised.

I confess
I want details.
I want a timeline.
I want to know what’s ahead before I take the first step.
But You simply say, “Go.”

Teach me to trust like Abram.
To rise early, pack lightly, walk humbly.
To believe that if You are the One leading,
then every step even into the unknown
is secure.

You told Abram he would be a blessing.
Not just receive one be one.
You said You would bless those who bless him
and curse those who curse him.
You wrapped Yourself around him
like a shield of faithfulness.

Lord, I don’t need fame.
I don’t need great name making.
I want to be a channel of Your blessing.
Let my life carry Your goodness
to those around me.
Let my words refresh.
Let my presence point to You.

But even Abram
the father of faith
struggled.
He entered Egypt in fear.
He lied.
He doubted.
He traded truth for protection.

And You still didn’t abandon him.

You are not only the God of beginnings
You are the God of mid journeys,
of failures along the way,
of second chances.

So when I falter,
when I fear,
when I lie to survive instead of trust to thrive
forgive me.
Remind me that this covenant depends not on my perfection,
but on Your faithfulness.

You are the God who calls and keeps.
Who sends and stays.
Who promises and performs.
So I will go
wherever You lead.
I will build altars of worship
along the road of obedience.
And I will trust that every place You bring me
will be marked by Your presence.

In the name of Jesus,
the true Seed of Abraham,
through whom all nations are blessed
Amen.
