Redeeming God,
You called Your people to remember,
to keep the Passover in the wilderness,
to tell again the story of salvation.
The lamb’s blood on the doorposts,
the night of judgment passing over,
the mighty hand that delivered from Egypt.
You would not let Your people forget.

Lord, do not let me forget either.
My heart is so quick to wander,
my memory so quick to fade.
Remind me daily of the blood that covers me,
the Lamb who was slain,
the mercy that spared me from wrath.
Let every breath be a remembrance,
every prayer a retelling,
every song a celebration
that Christ is my Passover.

Some came to Moses,
longing to keep the feast,
yet defiled and unable.
And You, O God, made a way.
You welcomed them to celebrate later,
so none would be left out of grace.
How wide is Your mercy!
How patient Your heart!
Lord, when I feel unworthy,
when my shame keeps me outside the camp,
draw me near.
Remind me that in Christ
I am never too late,
never too far gone,
never beyond Your table.

Then the cloud covered the tabernacle,
Your presence resting with Your people.
By day a cloud,
by night a fire
guiding, guarding, dwelling.
When the cloud lifted, they moved.
When it settled, they stayed.
Whether two days,
a month,
or a year,
their eyes stayed fixed on You.

O God, make me that kind of follower.
Teach me to move only when You move,
to rest only where You rest.
Deliver me from impatience,
from running ahead in pride,
from lagging behind in fear.
Train my eyes to watch the cloud,
to trust the fire,
to follow Your Spirit in every season.

When the path feels uncertain,
let me not demand the map
only Your presence.
When the waiting feels long,
let me not complain
only worship.
When the journey feels heavy,
let me not despair
only remember
that You go with me,
and that is enough.

So today, Lord,
mark me by remembrance
and by reliance.
Keep me near the cross,
keep me under the cloud.
And let my life be a living Passover,
a living pilgrimage,
proclaiming to the world
“The Lord redeems,
the Lord dwells,
the Lord leads His people still.”

In the name of Jesus,
my Passover Lamb,
my guiding Light,
Amen.
