Lord of truth,
Balak built his altars,
seven here, seven there,
desperate for a curse
to bend Your will.
But You cannot be bribed,
and You cannot be moved.
Your Word is not for sale,
Your blessing is not undone
by the hands of men.

O God, remind me of this
no scheme of kings,
no spell of sorcerers,
no plots of the wicked
can overturn what You have decreed.
If You have spoken blessing,
it will stand.
If You have chosen a people,
they will endure.
If You have promised good,
no curse can turn it away.

From the heights Balaam looked down
and saw Israel spread before him,
a people not dwelling alone,
not counted among the nations.
They were distinct,
set apart,
marked by Your hand.
Lord, make me so.
Let my life bear the mark of belonging to You.
Set me apart in holiness,
not for pride,
but for witness
that the world may know
this is the people of God.

Balaam opened his mouth,
but blessing flowed instead of cursing
“God is not man, that He should lie,
nor a son of man, that He should change His mind.
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”
O Lord, anchor me in this truth.
Men change,
nations shift,
hearts waver,
but You do not.
Your promises are fixed,
Your Word unbroken.
Give me faith to rest secure
in what You have declared.

You blessed Israel,
not because they were mighty,
but because they were Yours.
You saw no iniquity in Jacob,
for You covered them with grace.
So too, Lord, when You look at me,
let it be through the blood of Christ.
See not my sin,
but His righteousness.
See not my rebellion,
but His obedience.
Let me live covered,
forgiven,
blessed in Him.

So today, Lord,
silence every curse,
scatter every lie,
and let blessing rest on me.
Not for my glory,
but for Yours.
Not for my comfort,
but for Your kingdom.
Make me a living testimony
that what God has spoken,
He will surely do.

In the name of Jesus,
the Yes and Amen
to every promise of God,
Amen.
