Lord Jesus,
I come before You amidst the storms of my life
waves crashing, winds howling, fear rising in my heart.
Like Peter stepping out onto the water, I want to walk toward You,
but my faith falters, and I begin to sink.
Reach out Your hand to me, Lord.
Lift me up when doubt pulls me under.
Teach me to fix my eyes on You alone,
to trust Your power over every tempest that threatens my soul.
You showed compassion to the hungry crowd
feeding thousands with so little.
I bring You my emptiness, my lack, my brokenness.
Fill me, Lord.
Feed my spirit with Your living Word.
Satisfy the hunger I try to hide with so many distractions.
You withdrew to pray when the crowds pressed in,
yet You never abandoned them or me.
Teach me to find strength in solitude with You,
to rest in Your presence amid life’s chaos.
When You walked on the water, You displayed Your authority over nature itself.
Remind me that nothing is beyond Your control
not my fears, not my failures, not my pain.
You comforted Your disciples when they were terrified,
telling them, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
Speak that same peace into my trembling soul.
When the night is dark and the unknown looms large,
help me hear Your voice above the storm.
Jesus, I confess my fears, my weaknesses, my need for You.
Strengthen my faith so I can step boldly forward,
even when the winds roar and the waters rise.
Let Your compassion fill my emptiness.
Let Your power calm my chaos.
Let Your presence be my refuge.
In Your name Jesus, the One who calms storms and feeds the hungry,
I find hope and courage.
Amen
