O Yahweh Yireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14), our portion, our sustainer, our hope. On the mountain of sacrifice, You provided the ram (Genesis 22:13), and in the fullness of time, You provided the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). You, O Lord, did not spare Your own Son, but gave Him up for us all how will You not also graciously provide all things we need? (Romans 8:32) You see our needs before a word is on our tongues (Matthew 6:8). You prepare a table before us even in the presence of our enemies (Psalm 23:5). You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing (Psalm 145:16).
Yahweh Yireh, You provide not as the world gives fleeting and hollow but with abundance flowing from the endless wells of Your goodness (James 1:17). You provide grace for today (2 Corinthians 12:9), mercy for yesterday (Lamentations 3:22–23), strength for tomorrow (Isaiah 40:31), and joy that no one can steal (John 16:22). You are the Bread of Life (John 6:35), the Living Water (John 4:14), the True Vine (John 15:5). You provide a way through the wilderness (Isaiah 43:19), a light in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4), and a Rock beneath our trembling feet (Psalm 18:2).
O Yahweh Yireh, forgive us for doubting Your heart. Forgive us for hoarding manna when You rain down daily provision (Exodus 16:4). Teach us again to pray with childlike trust: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). Teach us not to chase after silver or gold, but to seek first the Kingdom of God and trust that all else will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). Provide for Your people what only You can give Hearts that love You above all things (Deuteronomy 6:5), Minds renewed by Your truth (Romans 12:2), Souls that thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Raise up among us those who will proclaim: "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want." (Psalm 23:1) Because Christ is enough. Because You are faithful. Because Your name is Yahweh Yireh the LORD who sees, the LORD who provides, the LORD who saves.
O Great Provider, be our treasure, our satisfaction, our reward (Genesis 15:1). Let us hunger and thirst for nothing but more of You (Psalm 42:1–2). Until we see You face to face, until we feast at Your table in the Kingdom without end (Revelation 19:9), we will trust You, we will thank You, we will rest in the endless provision of the Cross. We pray all this through the all sufficient, all satisfying, ever living Name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, our Provider, our King.
Amen.
