Ruth 3 – The God Who Honors Courageous Trust
Prayer
Lord God,
You are the God who invites courageous trust.
Ruth approached the threshing floor
not with entitlement,
but with humility.
She placed herself at the feet of the redeemer,
appealing not to power,
but to covenant mercy.
She trusted Your law,
Your character,
and Your timing.
You are the God who honors obedience
even when vulnerability feels dangerous.
Ruth risked misunderstanding, rejection,
and uncertainty.
Yet You met her courage with protection,
her faith with integrity,
and her obedience with peace.
Lord, I confess how fear often paralyzes me.
How quickly I retreat
when obedience feels risky.
Forgive me for choosing safety
over faithful surrender.
Teach me to rest at Your feet,
trusting You to redeem rightly
and completely.
You are the God who redeems without compromise.
Boaz did not rush redemption.
He honored righteousness over convenience.
He waited for what was right,
not merely what was possible.
You showed that true redemption
is never hurried
and never careless with holiness.
Teach me to trust Your timing, Lord.
Keep me from forcing doors open
that You have not yet unlocked.
Remind me that Your delays
are acts of mercy, not neglect.
I place myself at Your feet, Redeemer God.
Cover me with Your promises.
And teach me to trust
that You are working
even while I wait.
Amen.
